January 28th will be a date marked in Niall Houlihan's diary for a long time to come.

It's the day that the young Waterford jockey managed to nab his first-ever grade one win on board Editeur Du Gite at Cheltenham.

Riding for Gary Moore, it was Houlihan's 59th career win in the saddle and one he described as one of the greatest days of his life.

WLR Racing correspondent Mark Philips reacted to the news on Monday.
