National silverware is on the line on Sunday when the Waterford League lines out opposite the Mayo League for the Oscar Traynor Trophy final.

Craig Maher's side are looking to become the first team to win the title in several years, with the competition not played throughout the covid-19 pandemic.

Waterford already have a trophy in the cabinet this year having beaten Kerry in the Munster final.

Since then, they've gone on to beat Carlow in the national quarter and then Donegal in the semi-finals.

The manager, Maher, spoke to WLR Sport in advance of kick-off, saying the Munster title is great, but they want to go that one step further.
