The Waterford senior hurlers open up their Munster Championship account on Sunday when Cork come to Fraher Field.

One winning result in the league leaves the hurlers with nowhere to go but up in the provincial competition as Davy Fitzgerald plans for progression out of the Munster.

The team has been named and some key returning players will be hoping to make an impact with the likes of Tadgh De Burca, Stephen Bennett, Conor Prunty and Iarlaith Daly back in the starting fifteen, while Jamie Barron will make his 100th senior appearance at midfield.

Former Déíse Captain Brian Flannery sat down with WLR Sport to preview the game in Walsh Park which will be brought to you live by WLR thanks to George Corbett Skoda.
