It's just over a week to go until the curtain raiser in the 2024 National Hurling League Division One.
The Déise will take on Offaly in Tullamore in the opening round, followed by games with Clare (H), Cork (A), Wexford (H) and Kilkenny (H).
2023 proved to be a disappointing year for Waterford, failing to emerge from the Munster Championship for the second straight year.
The 2025 Leagues are set for a shake-up with seven teams set to compete in a newly structured Division 1A. The top three from each group this year will qualify for Division 1A in 2025, along with the winners of a play-off between the two fourth-placed teams, putting a layer of extra jeopardy on the performances in this year's competition.
Former Déise Captain Brian Flannery sat down with WLR Sport to look ahead.
