The 2017 All-Star was named man of the match in the county final win over Mount Sion where he made four outstanding saves.
Speaking to WLR Sport Stephen said he was delighted to be included in the ranks of those who picked up the monthly award already this year.
“I’m very grateful. I was looking at the previous winners over the past couple of months. Anybody who has won it – it’s great to be in their company. Yeah, very grateful.”
In the county final, Stephen stopped a first-half penalty from Austin Gleeson as the Gunners completed a record-equalling nine in a row to match both Mount Sion and Erin’s Own.

This is Stephen's second monthyl award, having previously picked one up in 2009. His brother Billy was chosen as the January winner.
