Saviour's Crystals boxing club have returned home to Waterford after a hugely positive week in Portugal.

Two gold and one bronze medal were earned at the Algarve Boxing Cup with a boxer of the tournament award also secured.

National elite light heavyweight champion Kelyn Cassidy got back in the winning column with an impressive gold medal performance.

He beat European Silver medalist Alfred Commy - and won male boxer of the tournament in the process.

Sean Purcell claimed a featherweight gold medal beating Norweigian Biniran Gerebihan in the final.

While Chantelle Robinson picked up a bronze medal at flyweight, where she was eventually beaten by European medalist Giordanna Sorrentino of Italy.
