The biggest week of Gary Hurley's career has just passed and the man from Aglish has been home for a few days to meet friends and family as he celebrates his success in Spain.
Playing six rounds of the final qualifying round at Q School, Hurley emerged from "hell week" with a card to play on the European Tour next season, and with that card his golf career opens up significantly.
West Waterford now boasts two touring pros with Gary and Seamus Power.
While he had been battling on the Alps Tour a few short months ago, Hurley secured his Challenge Tour card having finished within the top five on the Order Of Merit. He didn't lie on his laurels though - getting back out on the course a couple of weeks later he set about securing his DP Tour card.
An impressive run from Friday to Wednesday saw him seal a top-25 spot in Emporda.
On a fleeting visit home to Waterford Gary sat down with WLR Sport to look back on what has been a career-defining couple of months.
