Ballygunner and Roanmore will clash for the first time in a Waterford SHC final on Sunday.
Roanmore are back in their first final since 1990. Former Déise hurler Shane Ahearne says the Sky Blues will be a tough nut to crack. "One thing about Roanmore, they fight on their back against you. You're never going to get an easy game against them. They're not a huge, physical team but yet they play a physical game."
Former Waterford minor and under 21 coach Kieran O'Gorman feels that Ballygunner miss the presence of Philip Mahony at centre back but still backs them to complete eight in a row. "For all that Roanmore are going to bring to the table, I still can't see them beating Ballygunner. Ballygunner haven't been the force they have been in the last few years but they're going to be twice as hard to beat in a final. Their experience of finals will stand to them. I still see the News & Star trophy going back to Ballygunner."
