Waterford's Men's Development Network are celebrating 25 years since they were established!

To celebrate their 25th birthday, they will move into a new home on O'Connell Street on Friday, September 9th.

CEO, Sean Cooke, joined Damien in studio to talk about the support group.

It began with a group of men who wanted to be good fathers and then transformed into the support group it is today.

The Men's Development Network works with all men to engage them with their health and well-being. The group aims to help men to be their most authentic self.

It also works to eliminate toxic masculinity, gender-based violence, and gender equality.

The two were also joined by Colm Kelly Ryan, Head of Programmes and Advocacy. Colm wanted to be involved with the group because he is from Waterford himself and felt the work the Men's Development Network was doing was important and aligned with his beliefs.

The three shared anecdotes and advice with listeners. They spoke about shame, support, and taking the first step in reaching out for help.
