Two Irish-Palestinian sisters who are walking hundreds of kilometres in an effort to money for their relatives in Gaza, have raised nearly 40,000 euro so far.
Sara Abu Selmia and her sister Emma, who live in Tramore, are walking more than 300 kilometres over the month of January to raise money for approximately 100 relatives who have been displaced during the conflict in Gaza since October.
The sisters are running and walking a total of 320km to represent the 40km that each of their eight aunts and uncles travel by foot with their families when they were displaced from their home in northern Gaza to Rafa in the south.
They spoke to Damien Tiernan on 'Deise Today', along with their aunt Suzie Butler Walsh.
