Tributes are continuing to be paid to Waterford rally driver Craig Breen who is being laid to rest in his native Slieverue tomorrow (Tuesday).
The 33-year-old was tragically killed in Croatia on Thursday when test driving a route ahead of the Rally Croatia.
Craig Breen was hugely accomplished in his rallying career but aside from this, he was also an extremely well liked and popular young man who made a significant impact on the many he encountered.
Son of Ray and Jackie and brother to Kelly, Craig had a passion for motorsport from a very young age and achieved heights in his too-short career which were never before reached by an Irish driver.
This morning (Monday), on Deise Today, Damien spoke to two men who had known Craig well and are among the many saddened, and still shocked, by news of his passing.
James Coleman is the chair of Carrick On Suir Motor Club while Eamon Barrett is the proprietor of 'Altitude Outdoor and Cycle Centre' where Craig had been a valued customer, and friend, over many years.
