People across Waterford City and County have been paying tributes to the late Councillor Davy Daniels.

Cllr Daniels passed away yesterday evening after falling ill earlier in the week.

He was one of the longest serving councillors in Ireland, having been elected as Metropolitan Mayor in 2020 and elected nine times as a local councillor in Waterford.

Fellow Councillors Cha O'Neill, Mary Roche, and Jason Murphy, as well as Former Editor of The Munster Express, Johnny O'Connor, joined Damien in sharing stories about Davy as well as expressing their condolences to his family and friends.
