Stan Phillips joined Damien in studio to talk about the passing and the life of his late wife, Bernadette Phillips.

Bernadette passed away on Monday of last week.

Stan spoke to Damien about his wife and the impact she had on everyone that she met.

He discussed their life from the moment they met, to their first kiss, to her last breath.

The two had been together for 27 years.

Damien played a could of snippets of an interview that he had done with Bernadette before Christmas.

She spoke of her diagnosis as well as issues that were close to her heart.

Stan went on to discuss grieving and the way he has been coping, saying that gratitude has been a huge help.

He says people going through the same thing have been reaching out to him via social media asking for advice.

He says one of the main things he would like people to do is "give your pain a value."

As the chat was coming towards the end, Stan read a poem that he had written.
