Shane Phelan, Legal Affairs Editor with The Irish Independent, spoke to Damien regarding Enoch Burke and the latest legal updates on him.

He showed up at Wilson's Hospital School this morning for the third day in a row.

Shane discussed what can and should be done about this.

He says it's clear that Mr Burke will not comply with court orders to stay away from the school.

This morning, Mr Justice Brian O'Moore ruled that Mr Burke should be charged €700 for everyday that he shows up at the school.

Mr Burke has until 2pm on Friday to say whether he will comply with the order. If he fails to do so, the fines will kick in.

The judge did consider temporarily depriving Mr Burke of his assets, but he decided it seemed unlikely that this would work.

Shane and Damien both discussed the student who is at the centre of the situation.

They went on speak about a student council at the school that attempted to hand Mr Burke a letter earlier this month.

It stated there are many LGBTQI+ that felt they couldn't be themselves while he is at the school, but Mr Burke refused to accept the letter.
