The death over the weekend of Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding following a battle with advanced breast cancer sent shockwaves.
She was aged just 39.
It was only a year ago, in August 2020, that the pop star revealed she'd been diagnosed with the disease, which had spread to other parts of her body.
Her mother Marie announced the news of her death on Instagram on Sunday, describing her "beautiful" daughter as "a bright, shining star".
