The energy crisis is a ticking time bomb that will have bigger effects on businesses than Covid-19.
That's according to Michael Garland, operations manager at Tramore Amusement Park.
The electricity bill for the Park for the month of August last year was about 24 thousand euro.
This year for the same month it was in excess of €76,000.
Speaking on Monday's Deise Today with Damien Tiernan - Michael outlined that businesses throughout the county are seeing similar increases and some may go under.
He has called for the Government to provide instant support as some businesses simply cannot afford gas and electricity among other essentials.
"People are taking steps to try to reduce costs as best they can before anyone from Government tells businesses to do so. We are far too quiet in this county."
