Marking its 25th anniversary, Men’s Development Network (MDN) formally opened its refurbished headquarters at 49-50 O’Connell Street, Waterford City, on Friday, 9th September.
The building – named ‘Equality House’ – was opened by the Minister of State at the Department of Health, Mary Butler TD.
The property was purchased in 2020 and extensively renovated to provide ample space for programme staff and privacy for clinical services.
Many people representing organistaions who work with MDN attended the event. Examples of organistaions include the National Women's Council and AkiDwA.
Both shared the work that they do and how the Men's Development Network support them.
Luckily, the weather stayed dry for the ceremony and all involved and present heard the anecdotes of everyone who helped get the Netwrok to where it was now.
WLR spoke to different people at the event. To listen to the conversations had and where the name "Equality House" came from, click the link in this poodcast.
