It's approaching six months since Ireland introduced the new Information and Tracing services providing access to birth certificates, birth, and early life information for all persons who have questions in relation to their origins.
The latest figures show that as of mid-February, Tusla had received over 7,000 applications since the service launched.
One local lady who traced her birth parents prior to the introduction of the new services is Maggie Kenny, who works at WLR FM in the Broadcast Centre.
As she celebrated her birthday recently, Maggie spoke about the process of tracing her biological family and outlined what people thinking about using the new services might expect.......
