A Butlerstown man spent 27 days in a mortuary in Dublin before his family were able to bring him home.
James (Jamie) Weldon was found dead in his apartment in Dublin, several days before his family requested a welfare check with local Gardaí.
Jamie was transferred to Dublin City Morgue whereupon his family say they received no notification of his death as his next of kin.
According to his sister Fiona, Jamie was in the Mortuary for 8 days before they were notified and only became aware when they requested a welfare check with the Guards on the evening of the 25th August after a lack of contact.
