Parents of children attending Waterford primary school, Scoil Lorcain say the traffic situation outside it is a "nightmare" which needs to be sorted out before a child is seriously hurt.
Last week, two children were taken to UHW after a road traffic accident in the St John's Park area, in close proximity to Scoil Lorcain.
The issue of traffic safety outside the school has been flagged over the years by parents, councillors in the area and the former principal.
Damien Tiernan visited the area yesterday afternoon (Monday) and spoke to parents who were on the school run to get their views on the matter.
