The entirety of County Waterford was subject to a Status Orange Rain Warning from Met Éireann throughout yesterday (Sunday), with parts of the west. most notably Ballymacarbry and the Nire valley, taking a particular hit.
This morning (Monday) council crews were on the ground as rain waters receded.
Some locals described the scenes as some of the worst flooding they had witnessed in years as the River Nire burst its banks.

He also spoke to Gabriel Hynes, Senior Roads Engineer with Waterford City and County Council to get the very latest in terms of the flooding in the county and any damage caused.
