As many as one in five women experience mental health problems in pregnancy or after a birth.
Depression and anxiety are the most common of these problems; and they can happen to any mother-to-be or new mother.
This Thursday (Oct 10) is World Mental Health Day.
Mary Frisby is the Mental Health Midwife for Maternity Services at UHW and this morning (Monday), she joined Damien Tiernan in studio for a chat on 'Deise Today' to highlight the challenges faced by women in relation to their mental health during and after pregnancy.
