A new historical fiction novel set in the pivotal years of Ireland's struggle for Independence has been penned by Dungarvan's Ian Noctor.

'Two Castles' is Ian's debut novel and is a a story of twists and turns on an expertly-painted historical landscape which will leave the reader breathless with it's dramatic conclusion!

Writing a book has been a long-term objective of Ian, who is a former journalist and radio broadcaster.

This book centres on a character called Jack Doyle who is both a hero and a cold-blooded killer, carrying with him the baggage of having fought for a cause no longer believed in by those at home, and a commitment to a free Ireland which sets him at odds with friends, family and former comrades.
