Damien was joined on Wednesday's Deise Today (Sept 13) by John Ryan, 62-year-old Lismore local, to discuss his upcoming Bewley's Big Coffee Morning Social for Hospice in Lismore this Saturday (Sept 16).
The annual event has been running for the past nine years after the passing of John's mother and he has raised over €30,000 in aid of local hospices so far from it!
John expects to service 500 cups on Saturday and all the money from the event will be divided between the Waterford Hospice Movement, Marymount Hospice and Hospice in Cork.
The outdoor fundraiser will begin at 9am Saturday, September 16th, until 2pm and will feature coffee, cakes, music and more.
