Grace Rothwell, General Manager at University Hospital Waterford, spoke with Damien regarding how the hospital had been doing in 2022.
In recent days it was announced that UHW is the only hospital in Ireland to have had no patients on trolleys for the whole year.
Those statistics are based on a HSE review.
According to the HSE figures, the hospital hasn't had any patients waiting on trolleys in the Emergency Department in over 1,000 days.
According to The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation, UHW had 17 patients on trolleys last week.
