For the first time in the school's history, Gaelscoil Philib Barún in Tramore has won an award at the Féile Náisiúnta Drámaíochta.
Their play, written by teacher Ben Mac Caoilte, depicted World War 1 and the ensuing heartache when a young soldier doesn't return home.
Pupils of Rang 6 were involved in acting and drumming and created a strong atmosphere on stage.
It was this atmosphere which earned them a special award from the judges.
Dymphna Nugent popped out to Gaelscoil Philib Barún to speak with some of those involved.
