Tommy Comerford and Paul Curran joined Damein in studio, while Eddie Walsh was on the line, to discuss a memorial event for Dominic Hearne.

Dominic died on July 16th 2021. The event will be on Monday, July 18th in Dooley's Hotel.

Paul was the other half of the Bottle Brothers, the band that the two played in. They spent over 30 years making music together.

Eddie and Dominic go back to their teenage years. He says he can't even miss Dominic because he still can't believe he is gone.

They shared memories of Dominic and laughed while reflecting on how he made everyone feel like the only person in the world when he was talking to them. He would give them his undivided time and energy.

According to his friends, Dominic had a way of getting away with saying things that most others would not. They share some examples of him having no filter throughout the conversation.

In terms of the memorial night, a few friends had been chatting and suggested doing gig. They then decided to make it a charity night and get everyone Dominic had played music with and knew involved.

They said he had too big of a personality to just be forgotten, and they want to show their appreciation to his family.

The memorial will be a celebration rather than a night to mourn.

There are 250 seats available and all proceeds will go to Waterford Marine Search and Rescue and to Waterford City River Rescue.

An equal amount of tears and laughter is expected from the night.
