The loss of 90 car parking spaces in the harbour area of Dunmore East has raised concerns about the impact on parking in the wider village.

Extensive works at the harbour by the Dept of Agriculture and the Marine seen the 90 spaces -  adjacent to the sailing club - become inaccessible which has upset residents and businesses in the picturesque village.

There is also concerns that work is taking place in the already busy summer period and without a formal planning process.

Ronan Mulligan, who is a pharmacist in Dunmore East and who is also a member of the Waterford Harbour Sailing Club, spoke to Damien Tiernan on Deise Today.
