Students from Ardscoil na Mara in Tramore attended the Children and Young People's Assembly on biodiversity loss in the Oireachtas last week.

Two of the students, Niamh Purcell and Amelia Dunphy, were live in studio for Deise Today this morning (Tues) with the school's deputy principal Aoife Denton, to chat about the experience with Damien!

They also spoke about their TY Environmental Leadership Team and climate anxiety.

Niamh spoke about her visit to the Oireachtas to take part in the debate, about what actions children and young people want the Government to take to save biodiversity in Ireland, and why she is interested in saving the environment.

Aoife discussed how proud the school was of the young students calling for action to be taken.
