A suspended plan to build 31 new homes in the small town of Ardmore has left locals with nowhere to rent.
Mick Clifford, special correspondent at The Irish Examiner, reported on this issue in an article published yesterday (Monday, Nov 6) in The Irish Examiner.
On Déise Today, Mick spoke to Damien Tiernan about his article and how Ardmore is an example of the struggle many small towns and villages are facing at the moment where increasing house prices have left people unable to afford either buying or renting
With many privately built homes also being used as holiday homes, Mick discussed the effect this has on small tourist towns, Ardmore and elsewhere.
