Waterford Marine Search and Rescue won two awards at the National Lottery Good Causes Awards this past weekend.
Jamie Blanche, the longest serving volunteer with the group, was named 'Hero of the Year' for his 13 years of service.
Meanwhile, the entire Waterford Marine Search and Rescue group were named the overall winners in the Community category of the awards, something they were absolutely delighted to achieve.
On this morning's (Wednesday's) 'Deise Today', Maria McCann spoke to both Darryl Barry, who is chairman of Waterford Marine Search and Rescue, and Jamie, about their great success at the ceremony.
