With Christmas exams just around the corner, how do you - as a parent - encourage your teenager to study?!
Speaking this morning (Thursday) on Déise Today, Gerry Reilly, National Security of the Institute of Guidance Counsellors, gave his advice on the issue.
Gerry spoke about creating a supportive study environment, being a positive role model and having an open line of communication with your child.
He also explained that parents should provide healthy snacks, study plans, and if needed contact the school to get help from their child's teachers and guidance counsellor.
