Today the number of road deaths has matched the 2022 total.

A fatal crash in Sligo last night (Wednesday, Oct 25),  brought the total number to 155 compared to 118 road deaths this time last year.

Clive O'Regan, paramedic and ambulance service shift manager with the 'Irish National Ambulance Service', helped promote  WLR's 'Road Safety Month', this October and discussed his experiences with road traffic accidents on Déise Today (Oct 26th).

Clive spoke about the importance of slowing down and appealed to people to drive with more care.
