Commercial rates look set to rise by 5% in Waterford.
As a result of a €2m deficit in next year's budget for Waterford City and County Council, the executive is recommending councillors approve a 5% increase in commercial rates.
A briefing was held earlier this week but the decision has not been made as of yet with party groups set to meet with CEO Michael Walsh over the coming days.
Many businesses are currently struggling as a result of the cost-of-living crisis with energy and insurance prices spiralling out of control.
