Charlotte Mac is a 17 year-old living in Carrick who joined Damien in studio to discuss her website The Hope Project. 

She set it up two years ago when she was just 15.  The 'Hope' part of the website is an abbreviation for 'Hold On Pain Ends.'

The Project has a community of people from all around the globe, including in America and the UK.

Charlotte shares where the idea came from and the message she hopes to send through the website.

She has spent years struggling with her mental health and decided to grow the Hope Project so she had a reason to keep going.

She stresses the importance and benefits of talking about your feelings and said she used to call the guards or ambulance service when she was struggling.

Charlotte is currently in a nursing course but hopes to become a paramedic.
