A fantastic new Christmas song written by an Abbeyside pharmacist and recorded with the local Elf Orchestra is proving a big hit!

'Santa I love you' is the work of Joe Kelly of Kelly's Pharmacy and was originally written as an antidote to the constraints of the pandemic.

The song focuses on Christmas spirit and the joy it brings to children and was brought to life by the orchestra (David Hennessy Stage School) under David Hayes' musical director.

Very importantly, all proceeds from the song are going to the Children's Health Foundation of Ireland which provides support to families of sick children.

The group have set a goal of 5,000 for the song.

Donations can be made at Kelly's Pharmacy and through a special GoFundMe page that's been set up.

Joe Kelly joined Damien Tiernan in studio in Dungarvan today (Wednesday) for a chat about the song which Damien also played on air, to great reaction from listeners!
