Caroline Reid-O'Brien joined Damien in studio this morning to discuss singing, her life, and her diagnosis.

Caroline is "half blaa, half cat" and is living in Ferrybank. She has been singing since she started singing at weddings at amien the age of 18 years old.

She spoke about her childhood, which she described as being "very happy."

She also spoke a little bit about her job in the council. Caroline is the manager of the housing applications team that assesses people's housing needs.

Despite contemplating whether or not to speak about it, Caroline revealed she was diagnosed with breast cancer last September.

Upon being told she has cancer, she thought a lot about her priorities in life, her family, and her faith. Her singing helped her a lot after she was diagnosed, as it made her feel confident.

Caroline never drank or smoked and exercised regularly and therefore wants to emphasise the importance of checking yourself.

This morning Caroline had her last radiotherapy session and is officially cancer free! She is hoping to ring the bell later today.

She shared a funny story about her son and his birthday cake. He turned 18 in April this year, but the story highlights the importance of having humour after your diagnosis.

Caroline also sang 'Over the Rainbow' live in the studio at the end of their conversation.
