Events are happening across Waterford for Pride, celebrating LGBTQ+ people everywhere.

There will be a Pride march on Saturday June 4th - the first in the city for 10 years.

Over four days from June 3rd, workshops are taking place, from a drag act to a sexuality and wellness workshop, as part of the Pride of the Déise Festival.

Cam Little is the Chairperson of the Festival Committee - he joined Damien on Déise Today to run through what's happening for the June Bank Holiday weekend.

He said that they have been planning for the event since 2019.

You do not have to be a member of the LQBTQIA+ community to attend the events or to take part in the march. Everyone is welcome to go and show their support.

To book tickets for some of the events, see the Garter Lane website.

Other workshops and events will be taking place at different locations around the city. You can find out more via the Pride of the Déise website.
