Tuesday, September 27th is Budget Day.

Experts from EY will take us through the pre and post-announcements including Ronan Clinton, Assurance Partner with EY who looked ahead to the day on Tuesday morning's Déise Today from 10am.

Mr. Clinton says the forthcoming Winter will prove a challenge for many households.

"There's a cost of living crisis - there's the war in Ukraine which has had a significant impact right across Europe. Most people will have felt rising energy costs in their pockets. They are the items out there that create the backdrop to this Budget. I think there's two things going on here - there's the general cost of living that people are experiencing which comes from pent-up demand but in conjunction there is an energy crisis. It's going to be a very difficult Winter for a lot of people."
