The Déise tribe spans far and wide across the island of Ireland, and further afield. In the city of New York, there is no exception.
Based in Woodlawn, the Bronx, New York's very own Waterford GAA Club, boasts various football and hurling teams for men, women, and children.
The club has been in operation for many years now, including in 1967 when Windgap native Tom Fahy togged out for the side.
The same went for John Coffey when he moved stateside from Ballylaneen to the Bronx in the mid-1980s.
Both of these men - who went on to become the Club Chairperson and sponsor respectively - spoke to Aoife Kearns about the New York club, and making the move to the US from Woodlawn.
