A special tribute has been paid on air to the voice of soccer in Waterford for over four decades, Matt Keane, who is retiring from WLR.

The Ballytruckle man has been synonymous with sport in Waterford City and County for many years, and his popularity in the wider community was in no doubt today as texts and calls flooded into Deise Today.

As part of this special tribute, you'll hear the voices of the man himself Matt Keane, his co-commentator for many years Ray Scott, and his colleagues and great friends Timmy Ryan and Geoff Harris.

There were also an array of contributions from people who worked with, were interviewed by, and enjoyed friendships with Matt over the years; Gavin Whelan, Catherine Power, Adrian Flanagan, Alfie Hale, John O'Shea, Alan Reynolds, Gary Hunt, Darryl Murphy, Brian Gardiner, Paddy Joe Ryan, Michelle Ryan and Jillian Hayes.
