A Waterford charity is hosting a Youth Mental Health forum this evening at St Patrick's Gateway Centre to coincide with World Mental Health Day.
Laochas, has a particular focus on childhood mental health.
Founder and lead Co- Ordinator with the group, Lesley Hughes says tonight's meeting is an opportunity to exchange ideas and open up dialogue between different organisations .
"This is a chance to open up dialogue between different organisations on childhood mental health," she said.
The meeting starts at 6.30pm and is open to all.
Lesley told Déise Today about some of those who will be bringing their expertise to the table this evening.
Dr Deirdre Ryan, Senior Clinical Psychologist, two creative arts therapists, Catheine Sweeney Browne, Ciara Reddy, Youth Worker, Debbie O'Rourke, Glen Lynch from Brill FRC will all be in attendance.
Also taking part in bringing awareness to World Mental Health Day is Minister for Mental Health and Older People, Mary Butler.
She took to Twitter to encourage people to reach out for help if they are struggling.
