Flooding resulted in the temporary closure of Waterford Train Station yesterday (Saturday) evening.

There was disruption to Heuston services, with the 16.40 Heuston to Waterford service terminating at Thomastown.

Meanwhile, the 18.25 Waterford to Heuston service departed from Ballyhale. Bus transfers operated between Waterford and Kilkenny to transport passengers.

Iarnród Éireann says Waterford Train Station has reopened this morning and a full schedule of services will operate today.
