Areas of West Waterford and East Cork hit by floods during Storm Babet are on high alert this morning, with the risk of localised flooding.

An orange rain warning is in place this morning for Waterford, Kilkenny, and Wexford - and eight other counties are under a yellow alert.

Local authorities have advised people to take all necessary steps to safeguard properties.
