Waterford City & County Council has been called on to write to Bus Éireann regarding a bus route in County Waterford.

Fianna Fáil's Adam Wyse raised the issue of the Dunmore East bus route 354.

Speaking at the most recent Metropolitan meeting of Waterford Council, Cllr. Wyse says that children are being left on the side of the road.

"Could this Council write to Bus Eireann regarding Route 354 which services Dunmore East - or is supposed to service Dunmore East. The online schedule shows that it's supposed to be coming into Dunmore East at 7.40am yet residents in the area have said it is leaving well before that. People are trying to contact Bus Eireann and we're not getting a satisfactory response. Children are being left on the side of the road waiting on a bus that isn't going to come. Their website still says the bus will come at 7.40am, it's coming well before that."
