A new draft programme for government will be published today following meetings of the Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael parliamentary party which will take place this afternoon.
The Regional Independent Group will also meet to ratify the document which paves the way for a new government to be in place this day week.
Last night, Independent Kerry TDs Danny and Michael Healy-Rae also reached an agreement to support the incoming government.
The number of TDs willing to support the next government is increasing and the figure now stands at 95 after the Healy-Raes agreed to join forces with the new coalition.
WLR understands that the programme announced today will reference regional airports - and there will be an ongoing commitment to support such.
Waterford Airport will receive a specific mention - in a commitment to 'quickly progress the Waterford Airport project'.
No commercial flights have flown from Waterford Airport since 2016 - however private investment has been secured ahead of a long-awaited runway extension to facilitate larger aircrafts.
Government commitment has not been forthcoming however, with outgoing Minister for Transport Eamon Ryan having previously voiced opposition to the project.
