There were 72 Covid patients on site at University Hospital Waterford as of 8pm last night.
It comes as 1,241 people were hospitalised nationally with the virus.
There are two patients in intensive care at UHW, and 57 nationally.
13 Covid cases were admitted to UHW yesterday, the highest 24 hour figure in the country.
Meanwhile, there was 498 people waiting on a bed in Irish hospitals this morning according to figures from the Irish Nurses & Midwives Organisation.
However, there were no patients on trolleys at University Hospital Waterford.
56 people are currently on trolleys at Cork University Hospital, while there are 43 people waiting on a bed in University Hospital Limerick.
