Plans for a derelict mansion in Waterford to be transformed into a hotel have now been confirmed.

The former family home and national headquarters of the Irish tannery industry, is understood to have gone for the guide-price of 300,000 euro when it went under the hammer on April 6th.
At the time, those involved in the sale described the un-named purchaser as one of Ireland's leading hospitality businesses, who planned to turn it into a hotel.
However, it has now been confirmed to WLR News that Mayfield House was bought by Oakmount.
The group intend to turn it into a boutique destination hotel, which will be operated by the Press Up Hospitality Group.
They say no further details on the project are available at this time.
Press Up already have six luxury hotels in Ireland to their name, including the Dean Hotels in Cork, Dublin, and Galway.
