Waterford City and County Council has announced The Prom in Tramore will close due to Storm Ashley.
The Prom will be closed to traffic from 6pm today (Saturday) until 8am on Monday due to predicted high tides and Met Éireann weather warnings.
Waterford Council yesterday issued advice to the public after members of its severe weather management team attended a virtual Met Éireann Technical Briefing
Four counties are under on Orange wind alert tomorrow, while the whole of Ireland will be under a Status Yellow wind warning from midnight tonight until 3am on Monday.
A separate Status Yellow rain warning has been issued for seven counties.
The warning for Waterford, Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork and Kerry will come into effect at 12am until 9am tomorrow.
