Tour de Munster begins today in aid of Down Syndrome Ireland

Tour de Munster is celebrating its 21st year this August with a four-day cycle across the six counties of Munster, raising vital funds for the Munster branches of Down Syndrome Ireland.

The tour starts on Thursday, August 5th at the English Market, Cork and finishes on Sunday, August 8th as the cyclists tackle Patrick's Hill in Cork city.

The first day of the Tour will take the cyclists through Cork, Waterford and Tipperary finishing in Limerick. On day two, they will go through Limerick, Clare and North Kerry to Tralee.

Day three will see them face more big climbs over the Conor Pass and Molls Gap as they make their way via Dingle and Killarney toward Kenmare. Day four will start with a climb over the Caha Pass and finish in Cork city.

Tour de Munster has raised a significant sum of money for some very worthy beneficiaries over the years, including over €3 million for DSI Munster branches alone since they became the main beneficiary of the Tour in 2010.
